Greenest City partners with the Vancouver Foundation to deliver $2,000,000 in grants

Half of the money is coming from a contingency fund from the City and the other half is coming from private donors who give to the Foundation. Below is the official word, if you've got a clever project you should most definitely apply for a Neighbourhood Small Grant!

"We are pleased to let you know that the City of Vancouver and Vancouver Foundation have partnered to create the Greenest City Fund. Over the next four years this $2 million fund will support youth-led initiatives, neighbourhood-based projects by residents and programs developed by charitable organizations that support the Greenest City goals through the following programs:

Greenest City Neighbourhood Small Grants - for all Vancouver residents (launches today!)

Greenest City Generation Green Grants - for youth-led projects

Greenest City Community Grants - for charitable organizations

The Greenest City Neighbourhood Small Grants program launches today (April 25). Any resident of Vancouver is eligible to apply for a grant of up to $1,000 to help make Vancouver the Greenest City by 2020.
