Rain. Mud. Tarpa. Music. Rain. Sing-a-longs. Mud. Dancing. Rain. This was Tall Tree.

I actually missed shooting a few bands, even though I saw them, because it was raining so bad and the main stage was just a GIANT mud field. Seriously. (Apologies to Shred Kelly, TLGLTP, Vince, and Kyp - the rain/mud would have killed my camera!)

But the weekend was still great fun, with awesome people, new friends and old, and excellent music.

Oh, and we have a new special guest photographer this week, Jaimi Wainright, who graciously went and covered the Jon and Roy All Ages show at St James Hall w/ The Archers, and Ryan Guldemond while I was away at Tall Tree. Thanks Jaimi! Check out her Flickr page here and follow her on Twitter...hopefully we'll see more of her here in the future!

THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: Jazz Fest is on! There are tons of shows happening this week, check out the schedule for more details. My recommendations include Kid Koala, Jill Barber, and Gord Grdina! The Voice of the Cellar is happening every Wednesday at...well...The Cellar. Check out the full list of shows here. Friday is super busy, with Rain City Chronicles at Wise Hall, Jordan Klassen and Sidney York at the Electric Owl, and Wintermitts and The Ruffled Feathers at the Kozmik Zoo, and Destroyer at The Vogue. Saturday is almost as busy, so starting with that Summer Cask festival I told you about a while ago, is what I recommend. That evening are several of the Jazz Fest shows, as well as Capitol 6 and Twin River at the Princeton Pub. Canada Day is this Sunday, you'll find Hannah Georgas and Sam Roberts at the Surrey festivities, and many parties throughout the city! Have a great week!
