TO DIE FOR FOOD OF THE WEEK - VOLUME 10

Every week I compile a collection of the most mouthwatering food photos that I shot in Vancouver restaurants and in my kitchen. The hashtag #todiefor denotes an item truly knee weakening in flavour.

Canada Day Cupcake by Original Cupcakes - could you get more festive on our country's birthday? This red and white topped cake is not only pretty - it and its five counterparts are utterly scrumptious. #TODIEFOR

2010 Nota Bene by Black Hills Estate Winery - winery hopping in the Okanagan is not complete without a visit to this award-winning vineyard's brand new 'Experience Center'. With cushioned cabanas surrounding an outdoor pool set in the middle of a vineyard, you'll feel like you're in a movie (perhaps starring Jason Priestley, co-owner of Black Hills).

Lamb Meatballs with tomato raisin sofrito, parmesan & mint by Commune Cafe - just one of the fantastic new dishes on the cozy downtown restaurant's updated and improved menu. They make everything in house and serve Ocean Wise seafood. Try the house made Duck Rillette hot tapa, too.

Gluten Free Cinnamon Bun by Cloud 9 Bakery - apparently this is as rare as a unicorn. Head to New West for the sweet launch of the unique buns this Saturday. If they're anything like their other goodies, it'll be a winner.

Fruit Bowl - why dirty a dish? Serve individual portions of fruit salad to your brunch guests in halved melons.
