TO DIE FOR FOOD OF THE WEEK - VOLUME 12

Every week I compile a collection of the most mouthwatering food photos that I shot in Vancouver restaurants and in my kitchen. The hashtag #todiefor denotes an item truly knee weakening in flavour.

Wild Mushroom Eggs Benny by Edible Canada - one of the best I've tried. Loaded with fresh thyme and built on ciabatta bread (a gluten free option is available) this is a must-try brunch item on Granville Island.

Lamb Sirloin with White Gazpacho & Merguez Sausage by Chef Steve at NFA Vancouver - when indulging in a six course meal, you'll usually wind up with one, maybe two favorite dishes, right? At NFA - one of Vancouver's underground dining experiences - I couldn't name a highlight. Each course was seriously fantastic.

Fish & Chips by Chef Steve at NFA Vancouver - one of the six course evening's appetizers (and of course, another meal highlight). This is Steve's fresh outlook on fish and chips - two kinds of salmon tartar with crispy french fries. Both were entirely different and exquisite.

Local Strawberries from BerryMobile - a great source for GAP certified berries in Vancouver and North Van. Look for BerryMobile's stands at Blenheim & 16th and on Mt. Seymour Parkway. Currently, they're selling BC raspberries, cherries and blueberries.

Strawberry Chips - the baking process makes these dark, ripe, sweet berries even sweeter and deliciously chewy. Try this at home.

Gift Shop at Vancouver Urban Winery - a true hidden gem of a place that will soon 'blow up' (I'm calling it now). They hold wine tasting evenings featuring multiple BC wineries and food pairings. Have a birthday coming up? @VanUrbanWinery takes reservations.
