Here are the deets on Ether as submitted by VIA reader Megan Evelyn :

Hood:Mount Pleasant

Habits: Sneaking out the window to eat grass, being terrified of the vacuum cleaner and blow dryer, preening, running in short bursts and then laying down, getting food crumbs on the wall near his dish, making cute peeping and "PURRTing" noises, sitting on your lap and lovingly digging his claws into your knees, repeatedly asking for shrimp, sniffing human food just close enough for his nose to touch it and then not eating it, raising the roof before jumping up onto something, mistakenly jumping into your lap-breakfast of eggs and beans, saying "WOOOW" a lot, drooling when I'm laying on someone's chest, jumping on the table when no one's around.
Hangouts:The window, the chair that you are also sitting in, the corner of the bed, in a "chocolate sandwich" between two humans, on the keyboard.

Name: Ether (aka: Fat-Lightning, Fat man, Kitty man, Little man, Mudflaps, Randy Butternubs, Gus Gus)
Favorite Things: Snugs, belly rubs, being friends with everyone, hair elastics, being sung to, laying flat on his back like a beached whale, sleeping, "making biscuits" on everything, attacking feet that are moving underneath the blankets, forceful nuzzles and nudges into the faces of loved ones, scootching up beside his roommate in bed and flopping over so he is perfectly spooned, Pusheen comics, eating dusty moths that come in the window.
Other Info:Ether is an excessively large cat. He would hurt many the fly but never a human. His head is a perfect sphere and he has a pendulous dewlap but most people think it is cute. He often sounds like he has something important to say. His mother's name was Turkey Sandwich and his cousin's name is QBunk. Ether is named after a quote from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Ether is obviously very intellectual - reading his existentialist novels in a turtleneck.

He is so scholarly he probably took this photo of himself.
