I can't believe it's August already! I had the chance to catch the return (after two years without coming through town) of Bruce Peninsula at the Media Club! Fantastic as always, they put on a great show. Opening up were Adrian Glynn who mesmerized the room, as well as a familiar face from Bruce Peninsula, Tamara Lindeman aka The Weather Station! If you weren't there you missed a solid show, and to make sure you don't miss any more...
COMING SOON from VOGUE PRODUCTIONS: check out the Swingin' Utters w/ Roll The Tanks, and The Isotopes at the Biltmore on Aug 18th. THEN get totally stoked for Fall!: The White Buffalo, with Northcote opening at the Electric Owl on the 15th! October 20th got busier with two great shows... Royal Wood at the Rio Theatre and Calexico with The Dodos at the Rickshaw. Then November gets really busy with a variety of shows! First up, DAN MANGAN at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre with the Rural Alberta Advantage (woo!); then for something completely different, you can see Gwar, DevilDriver, Cancer Bats and more at the Vogue on the 12th. To top all of that off, Patrick Watson will be at the Centre for the Performing Arts on November 15th! That's a lot of awesome right there... you can get tickets here!
