Last week I announced we were doing a WALKING TOUR with one of the landscape architects responsible for most of the things in the Village that aren't buildings. On Saturday afternoon Margot Long accompanied myself and about 15 other folks for a tour of the streets, the shoreline, the Canoe Bridge, the plants, Habitat Island, the wetlands and beyond. There are so many cool facts about the public spaces in the area and local blogger, dPotato, joined us and posted THIS GREAT PHOTO ESSAY taking YOU on our tour of the Village on False Creek!
dPotato also posted a bunch of her photos to Instagram and she isn't alone: since launching my contest on Instagram in the beginning of July we've had 1,319 images uploaded to Instagram using the #inthevillage hashtag. There are so many stunning images of our neighbourhood it's a good thing it's a random draw for the prizing because it'd be hard to choose winners.
