Just when you thought more artistic mediums couldn't possibly be included in one festival, Olio goes and adds fashion section to it's 2012 lineup. On Saturday, September 22 at Sugar Studios (1635 Powell St), Olio will host a special swimsuit presentation by awesome Vancouver designer Beth Richards. Richards launched her debut collection of quality modern swimwear in Spring/Summer 2012. This season's collection is an evolution of the debut, featuring updated basics. It draws further inspiration from muses across the decades, as well as bold iconography, such as the cross. Added bonus? The swimsuits also double as bodysuits! With UV-protective fabrics from Italy, they're just as functional as they are luxurious.
The models will also be adorned with awesome jewelry from Sleep Standing Up (Meagan Howard), and in true cross-creativity form, the presentation will host a live performance by Colleen Rennison, the sultry songstress from blues rock band No Sinner, and tunes by Sincerely Hana.
