That was one crazy weekend...esp because I spent some of it in the hospital in Victoria, but that's another story. RIFFLANDIA! I took about 2000 photos in the time I was out and about (I missed most of Saturday), so I've narrowed them down and have uploaded them to the VIAindie Facebook Page (please like us!). Oh and I also caught the Christopher Smith/Belle Game/Snowblink show before I left, so I've added those shots here. Now it's time for...

THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: and the Olio Festival! YAY! There's so much going on, you should really just check the schedule. But also! Tonight at the Biltmore, it's Toonie Tuesday with The Gay Nineties and This Is The Shoes. Shred Kelly is in town on Thursday, and are playing at the Railway Club!..and over at the Media Club it's Jordan Klassen and Wake Owl! Plus Blank Cinema and The Gay Nineties at the Electric Owl, and THIS IS THAT LIVE! at the Rio. Have fun choosing! Friday I'd suggest starting out with Rain City Chronicles at the Vancouver Playhouse, then run to 560 for what you can catch of Bed Of Stars, Young Pacific, Tough Lovers, and City Of Glass! and/or White Ash Falls at the Colbalt, and/or Twin River and Julie Doiron at the Biltmore. Saturday you should definitely come out to Portage and Main's Cup For Kids ball hockey tournament! I'll be there. THEN get your second shot of Rain City Chronicles at the China Cloud. Follow that up with Brasstronaut at the Rickshaw, or Teen Daze at the Bitlmore AND/OR Oh No! Yoko at the Colbalt. Wind yourself down on Sunday with Tegan & Sara at the Vogue Theatre and then sit by your tv/computer on Monday for the Polaris Prize gala! Ready? Go!

Also, Rich Aucoin is like a cake made with M&Ms and sprinkles.
