Welcome to In The Village on False Creek, a unique project inspired by Live@YVR and 365 Days of Dining. I've moved my family into this community with my mission being to showcase the myriad of things that make it awesome by bringing you a weekly scoop! |
In the middle of the summer I announced an Instagram contest where I was going to be giving away $500 worth in gift cards to local merchants Legacy Liquor, London Drugs, Urban Fare, Terra Breads and Tap & Barrel. All you had to do was post Instagram photos you shot in the Village, tag them as #inthevillage, and at the end of the summer a random draw would be held. The hashtag has since had more than 1,500 photos posted to it, from people passing through to many of my neighbours who are proudly showing off life in this community. One of them drew random numbers for me in this draw, and I dug through the hashtag and matched them with these winning photos below. Enjoy!
