Did you catch THIS POST we made last week about how we worked with Herschel Supply and Nature's Path to supply 30 backpacks full of food to kids in the Strathcona Community Centre Backpack Program? Well here's a little more news concerning Nature's Path and feeding kids who need it!
Their Compassion Into Action event is an annual pop-up organic café and marketplace where you can purchase delicious local organic food by donation to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. Since 2009 they've raised more than $500,000 worth of food for people in need. Whoa.
For every dollar spent at this event happening tomorrow, the food bank can buy three dollars worth of food to feed the 27,000 people who depend on it every week (26% of which are children). It's an opportunity for you to eat well and enable others to do the same, so join them tomorrow between 7AM and 3PM at the Vancouver Art Gallery!
Food from Nature's Path, Happy Planet, So Nice, Ethical Bean Coffee, Save On Meats, SOLEfood Farm, Eat More Sprouts and Pro-Organics will all be available.
