Daniel Francis' Trucking in British Columbia celebrates 100 years of... trucking in British Columbia

As I write this quick review of Harbour Publishing's latest release, Trucking in British Columbia , I feel like I need to apologize to the author, the award-winning historian Daniel Francis.

As I write this quick review of Harbour Publishing's latest release, Trucking in British Columbia, I feel like I need to apologize to the author, the award-winning historian Daniel Francis. Daniel, I'm sorry that when I first saw the title of this book it didn't tickle me. But in my defense, as is stated in your synopsis, trucking may be one of the biggest industries in BC but it is seldom celebrated nor does it seem visible despite the amount of time many of us spend on the road. What you've managed to do with your book, Mr Francis, is not only share the detailed history of trucking in our province but you've shown me hundreds of archival photographs and told me facts and figures that got me excited about the 100th year anniversary of the BC Trucking Association. You've also helped me have a better understanding of the history of trucking and infrastructure projects specifically in my city that I write about here every day. So with my apology also comes sincere thanks, for producing something entirely awesome which I hope our readers will also enjoy.
