The 2012 Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown took place last week at the Vancouver Aquarium .

The 2012 Ocean Wise Chowder Chowdown took place last week at the Vancouver Aquarium. Vancouverites packed the room and dined amongst the tanks on chowder creations (paired with beer) by chefs from all over the city and voted for the People's Choice Award.

Turns out, "The People's" palates were as refined as the judges, because they both chose the same winner:
