You've all heard of the awesome DTES project called Help Portrait, haven't you? No?! Well lemme fill you in on one of the bestest photo project out there. What it is, in a nutshell, is, a bunch of awesome photographers, hair stylists, and make up artists donate their time, head on down to the Union Gospel Mission in the Downtown Eastside and take portraits of and for people who would never have the opportunity to get professional portraits done. The photos are printed on the spot and given to the subjects.
What an awesome project that benefits so many people. Especially this time of year.
