TO DIE FOR FOOD OF THE WEEK - VOLUME 42

Every week I compile a collection of the most mouthwatering food photos that I shot in & around Vancouver. The hashtag #todiefor denotes an item truly knee weakening in flavour.

Choux by Beta 5 - choose from vanilla, chocolate, salted caramel, pistachio, creamsicle or passionfruit. For Valentine's Day, pastry chef Adam is making sweet heart-shaped rings filled with a variety of flavoured creams.

Kaffir Lime Coconut Ice Cream by Earnest Ice Cream - perhaps the best thing since sliced bread? You want to try this. #TODIEFOR

Tofu Scramble by The Parker - the most exciting 'tofu scramble' I've had. This charming vegetarian restaurant near Chinatown is worth a visit.

Chocolate Purses & Pear Gelato at CinCin - Chef Christophe's exquisite desserts were the highlight of my dining experience. This March, he'll open his own Chocolaterie and Patisserie at 4712 Hastings St.

Parsnip Hot Chocolate at Secret Location - a must-try, no? Pastry Chef Kira delights with her flavour combos. Though mild, the parsip 'milk jam' worked. This is one of three options on the menu for Hot Chocolate Festival (ending Feb. 14).
