WEEK 162: Skye Wallace

sceneandheard SCENE AND HEARD showcases the independent music scene here in Vancouver. With over 28,000+ artists, boasting more than 140,000+ tracks, the CBC Music/CBC Radio 3 web site is the absolute ultimate authority, and the home, of independent music in Canada. With that massive library along with tools for members (free to join!), we’re taking advantage of what they’ve set up by bringing you a fresh batch of music every week featuring local groups who have tracks (entire albums, even!) on the R3 site.

The talented Skye Wallace has two stellar shows coming up that I want to tell you about. First is this week at St James Hall on the 15th alongside 41st and Home (they’re finally back!) and Facts, and the second is her CD Release show for “This Is How We Go” on the 23rd at Anchor Guitars! The album features the likes of Bocephus King, Jasper Sloan Yip, Dominique Fricot, Treebeard, Jason Lowe, and much more… (I’ve heard some tunes, they are awesome!).
