#FieldDayFriday: The StackHaus of Full Stack

Watch for #FieldDayFriday on Vancouver Is Awesome every Friday during the month of August, where I'll be posting from someone else's workplace pad.

For my inaugural #FieldDayFriday I rolled up a chair at the open desks of Full Stack to work alongside this Foundry's founder, Boris Mann and the fleet of people of working at various early stage tech startups housed at the "StackHaus."

The view from my desk. (Full Stack's creatives use the windows to think out various projects.)

A French pressed coffee in hand, I took a stroll around the space: A wrap around north-east facing balcony, floor to ceiling windows, open kitchen and pods of desks have made this live-work space a hub for interactivity. Which is likely why the Open Haus's and BBQ's they host periodically have become legendary by those who attend. That, plus there's a Kegerator and modern designed bathtub that doubles as an ice chest used during these events.

Checking out Kenny Grant's back corner office. He's Full Stack's resident entrepreneur.

I had settled in, but it was time for a coffee break. I hopped across the street to pick up donuts and coffee, courtesy of Cartems Donuts and Doi Chaang Coffee.

After a quick deliveries of donuts for Chimp, I returned to lunch (cherry tomatoes and kale grown in the office's container garden) and chat with Ola Kowalewski, who shares her time at the Haus between Full Stack, Contractually and her own startup, Medinovel.

A boxed off, built-in fireplace serves as a great gas outlet for the BBQ.

Gardens, expansive views, and being part of the cross collaboration of these companies? Even if only for a day was a Gastown treat.
