If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap". In other words, this is a weekly series on things to do and places to go in Vancouver that fall into that magical category of being both cheap and awesome.

When was the last time you went bowling? Probably way too long ago, and you've probably forgotten how much fun it is. I know I had, until my friend had a Groupon for Grandview Lanes and we went to check it out. Oh man, not only is it still super fun (with or without bumpers on the sides), but it's a great deal! A game costs as little as $5 per person, or if you've got a group, pay $35 an hour for a lane and split it up. Plus, the snacks are a steal! You can easily bowl a game, have a little treat, and a lot of fun, and spend less than $10 for the entire night out.
