Another successful Rifflandia and there was SO much music to see...so I did my absolute best to get to as many as possible. Highlights? Death From Above 1979 and some amazing local talent. And that's it for another Festival Season. I hope you all survived...
THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: check out honorary Vancouverite Neko Case, with Wake Owl, at the Orpheum on Friday! Saturday there are lots of shows...Jordan Klassen's Album release with Skye Wallace and Kalle Mattson at the Biltmore and/or Islands with Bear Mountain at the Media Club! Monday is the Polaris Music Prize Gala and in Vancouver we will be streaming the show, and then hosting a panel of jurors (including yours truly...) to discuss the results, and albums for next year's prize. Admission is free, doors are at 4:30, gala stream is at 5:00, panel starts at 8pm...oh and there are some SWEET prizes that will be given away too! CHECK OUT ALL THE DETAILS HERE!
