Food events, IDSwest, the start of the Canucks pre-season all went down this week, but it couldn't keep me from seeing Bear Mountain and Islands at the Media Club. Sweaty dance party? Check. (Make sure you get tickets to see Bear Mountain and The Belle Game for November 9th, it's going to be so great.)
THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: it's one of those weeks where you have to choose... Thursday The Matinee, and Dallas Smith are at The Commodore, and over at the Electric Owl, Young Galaxy will be performing. Friday is a BIG show, JP Maurice's album release at Fan Club with Broken Down Suitcase, Small Town Artillery, Chris Kelly and a TLGLTP DJ set. Saturday Steam Whistle is throwing an Oktoberfest party (which is where I'll be), and/or over at the Media Club - Boreal Sons, The Oh Wells, and Heard In The Mountains will be performing. Sunday (yes, the day of the Breaking Bad finale) Elliott Brood will be at the Media Club (!!!) with John Sponarski of Portage and Main. And finally on Monday, Half Moon Run are at the Commodore with Andy Shauf...which will be amazing. Have a great week!
