We're getting close to the next edition of Sam Sullivan's Public Salon, which V.I.A. is a proud sponsor of. In case you haven't heard, it's a fantastic night out at the Vancouver Playhouse where our friend, former mayor and now-MLA Sam Sullivan, brings us a curated group of super interesting speakers who share their stories. Fashioned off of a private series of salons that Sam was doing at his house, the intention is to open up the doors and invite everyone in.

One of my favourite things about these events is always the speakers we might not be exposed to or meet through our circles of friends. Dr. John Webb, for example. He's a surgeon who's a pioneer in the TAVI (transcatheter aortic valve implantation) procedure, and at the April event he shared this amazing story about heart surgery below...
