From now until November 14th, four of Vancouver’s best wine bars will feature a wide assortment of Languedoc wines by-the-glass: Brix, Siena, The Wine Bar, and Seasons In The Park.

Recently I, along with a handful of Vancouver's media, attended a tour of these restaurants/bars, while sampling some of the delicious Languedoc wines that they have for this promotion.

You too have a chance to indulge in this experience...Throughout the promotion period, diners can visit one of these wine bars, enjoy a glass of Languedoc wine, and leave with a chance of winning an all-expenses-paid Wine Bar Crawl for two! Just fill out a ballot at every participating Wine Bar for a chance to win an evening of luxury: a limo will tour the winners to each of the four participating wine bars for some Languedoc wine and delicious food.

There is also a social media contest, which you can learn about by following the hashtag on twitter: #LanguedocVan or @LanguedocWines or by liking the Languedoc Facebook page.

Check out some photos of the wine and food below from the Wine Bar Crawl we attended, and get a glimpse of what you too can experience.

Our first stop was The Wine Bar where we had oysters with the Sieur d'Arques, Première Brulle, Limoux AOC (2011) and mussels with the Château Pech-Celeyran, Cinquième Gérération, Languedoc AOC La Clape (White, 2011). Both wines were delicious and paired so well with the food.

Stop number two was Brix in Yaletown, where we had both a red and white wine paired with grilled cheese, beef tartare, and a mini crème brûlée. The white was the Domaine Delsol, Picpout de Pinet AOC (2012), and the red was the Gerard Bertrand, Terroir Minervois AOC (2010)!

The third stop was up to Queen Elizabeth Park for some more food and wine at Seasons In The Park - two red wines matched with short ribs (tuna for me). We sampled both the Domaines Paul Mas, Estate GSM, Coteaux du Languedoc AOC (2011) and the Saint-Saturnin, Le Clocher, Languedoc AOC (2010), two very different but equally tasty reds.

Our last stop of the evening was Siena in South Granville for dessert and, you guessed it, more wine. We had the Antech Cuvée Expression Crémant de Limoux AOC sparkling and the Domaine de Babio Minervois AOC Red 2009 alongside a hazelnut chocolate torte (which I consumed so rapidly that I forgot to take a photo!).
