A Good Book Drive: One more day, let's make it count!

It’s hard to believe deadline for book donations is only a day away - November 30, 2013. If you are free this Saturday, November 30th drop into A Good Book Drive's celebratory open house at Nelson the Seagull from 6pm - 10pm.

It’s hard to believe deadline for book donations is only a day away - November 30, 2013. If you are free this Saturday, November 30th drop into A Good Book Drive's celebratory open house at Nelson the Seagull from 6pm - 10pm. Be the first to see the books donated this year, share a few sweet treats and enjoy good company before the holiday madness hits.

The goal this year is to collect 3,000 books, so here are some quick and easy ways you can help:

  • Bring your book donation (if you haven’t already) to one of the Good Book Box locations, or bring to A Good Book Bash on Saturday night
  • Spread the word online! Send a tweet or two (@agoodbookdrive), share a photo and story from the series, or repost a pic on Instagram.
  • Tell the folks in your life, especially those who get deadline anxiety, that they can easily donate to A Good Book Drive online right here.
  • Invite your pals to the party on Saturday.

Thanks for supporting A Good Book Drive for the second year in a row. Without your help getting out the word, and your kind donations, this project would not continue to grow while supporting the important programming Frontier College runs for families in Vancouver and beyond.

A Good Book Drive is an annual book drive to bring stories to a new generation of readers, and support kids in need of new books. Running through the month of November, A Good Book Drive will be inspiring Vancouverites to purchase a new copy of their favorite kids’ book and deliver it to set locations throughout the city. At these drop off locations you can personalize your donation with a special bookplate, sharing the story of why that book is special to you. All books will be donated to this year’s book drive recipient, Frontier College Waiting Room Literacy Pilot Project. Share your favourite stories with A Good Book Drive on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
