COMEDY GEMS at the EMERALD offers up 4 new hilarious Vancouver comedy shows to enjoy on Tuesday nights starting January 7th.
SPECIAL SNEAK PREVIEW Tuesday, December 3rd with headliner Charles Demers and Dino Archie and on December 10th with Canadian Comedy award winners the Sunday Service and Graham Clark.
From Cameron MacLeod, the Comedy Curator of Olio Festival, Music Waste and the Executive Producer of the Classic Comedy Roast of Mayor Gregor Robertson, comes a new series of monthly comedy shows that offer something for everyone in the comfort of the Emerald Dining lounge. 4 fantastic new shows, one for every Tuesday of the month.
On the first Tuesday of every month grab a skirt, put on a tie, look good and laugh classy at LADIES & GENTLEMEN, COMEDY at the EMERALD. This classic stand up show takes inspiration from Vegas in the 1960's when the Rat Pack was king. The lovely Miss Katie-Ellen Humphries hosts this classy affair that urges both it's performers and audience members to use the night as an excuse to wear those clothes you never have an occasion to pull out of the closet. Suits, gowns, furs, belly laughs... They all have a place here.
On the second Tuesday of every month join the Canadian Comedy award winning Improv group the Sunday Service for their new show The SUNDAY SERVICE Presents... where they invite some of the best stand up comedians in Vancouver to take a step out of their comfort zone and challenge them to improvise alongside them for an entire show. If you have never seen the Sunday Service then you haven's seen one of the best Improv groups in Canada.
The third Tuesday of every month is for the Sketch Comedy fans. COMEDY GEMS presents TOWNHALL COMEDY. Best friends or bitter enemies? Tegan Verhaul and Kyle Fines present a night of thematic sketch. With friends and special guests joining them, they'll leave you with a weird feeling in your gut. Maybe you've had one too many cocktails, maybe it's love.
Finally on the fourth Tuesday of every month COMEDY GEMS presents MATTERHORN! Andrew Barber, best known as Boston Greg or for his Owen Wilson impersonation, alongside Cameron MacLeod and the handsome Brian Cook, serve up high energy, ridiculous character driven Improv. Let them and their monthly special guests charm your pants off. You won't regret it in the morning.
