Over the past three years some super awesome installations have found a home on the South Plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery, the 800 Block of Robson Street. Corduroy Road, Pop Rocks and Picnurabia have transformed this cold, concrete space into somewhere that people actually want to come and chill at instead of simply walking through.
This year VIVA Vancouver is opening up the space of 800 Robson (the entire block!) to designers with a competition called Robson Redux. They're inviting emerging and professional designers to submit their design ideas related to the theme of “connection”. The winner will make their design a reality, building and installing it for the 2014 summer in the 800 block of Robson Street.
