How about those sporting events last week? Pretty great...music too. Although I ended up only being about to check out one show, it was a fun one. Luke's General Store had it's opening party (they're selling Stumptown coffee!) and Johnny de Courcy and The Death Rangers were on hand to play some tunes.

This week I'll be trying to balance music and the Vancouver International Wine Festival (and then taking off for this). But YOU have no excuses not to get out on the town, Vancouver!

THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: make sure you check out Jody Glenham's EP release show at the Biltmore with Sunshine, and Luck Commander on Wednesday. Friday, Hannah Georgas and Ryan Guldemond will be performing their CBC Toque Session - rush line starts at 6:30! Follow that show up the same evening with The Harpoonist and The Axe Murderer at The Imperial with Rich Hope. Saturday there are several quality choices for a musical evening: The Matinee will be at The Imperial with Good For Grapes, and The Gastown Royals, and The Bros Landreth and Mark Berube are at The Biltmore. Take Sunday off and watch The Oscars, and then make SURE you go see PUP at The Media Club on Monday.
