I don't know if you noticed, but I was away again this week in Tofino!, so I missed the all female awesomeness that was the Ma Petite EP release show. Good thing I have so many talented friends, and the awesome Samantha Soo took a few snaps so you can see how it all went down. I'm heading out this weekend again, but there are a LOT of great shows happening:
THIS WEEK IN MUSIC: starts tonight at the Biltmore with the Fish & Bird CD release, with Jasper Sloan Yip and Lydia Hol. Thursday have two fun events to choose from, the Songs Of The Beatles (covers of Beatles songs by Vancouver musicians) at the Biltmore or check out the newly launched (6 weekend long) Bedouin Cabaret at Nuba on West 4th, this night featuring Gord Grdina. Friday is nice and busy with a whole wack of shows. Pink Mountaintops are at the Fox Cabaret with Three Wolf Moon, over at the Cobalt it's Come Friday with LEGS and Louise Burns, and finally City & Colour and Half Moon Run are at Deer Lake Park. And finally Saturday go check out Woodpigeon and Wintermitts at Olla Urban Flower Project. Have a great week!
