If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap".

If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap". In other words, this is a weekly series on things to do and places to go in Vancouver that fall into that magical category of being both cheap and awesome.

There are a few more cheap theatre opportunities coming up this summer that you just need to know about! First up is Carousel Theatre and their FREE Summer Shakespeare show. This year they are doing a 60's adaptation of Love's Labours Lost that looks like a really good time. It's an outdoor, 90-minute adaptation that looks like great fun. You can also get some cheap theatre at Pacific Theatre's Summer Playground Series. That's where the production of The Black House and the Blue Sky was playing (I posted about it a couple of weeks ago), and they have a whole summer's worth of theatre to see! The shows range from pay-what-you-can (like this week's production of August in the Spring) to $10 tickets.
