Beta Version Heritage Site Finder Interactive Map

Thanks to a Get Youth Working Grant and the hard work of our site host and sponsor SplitMango, our long awaited beta version of a Vancouver Heritage Site Finder Interactive Map is live! By the look of today's wet weather, it's perfect for browsing and spending some time exploring heritage sites in the city online.

VHF has developed an interactive map that lists buildings, sites and landmarks found on the Vancouver Heritage Register as well as sites with municipal or provincial designation. This project is in beta form and we are working to complete all details including descriptions and images for all locations. Currently included are nearly all of the over 2300 sites listed on the register, with an estimated 600 of those sites including a description and image, but more are added regularly. We welcome comments to help us improve functionality and accuracy. VHF is already grateful to a number of volunteers who have helped with research and image taking, but there is more to be done! Interested in donating time or resources to help us complete the map?  Please contact our office at 604-264-9642 or mail@vancouverheritagefoundation.org.

Please note the map is not currently fully functional on mobile platforms and operates best with Firefox or Chrome.
