My friends Carina Thiedeke and Bree Galbraith recently launched a blog called Peaks & Harbours here in Vancouver. Self described they are "young, professional moms who live and work in Vancouver, BC. Constantly about-town seeking out and reviewing kid-friendly art and design experiences, delicious diversions, and mom-reviving outdoor adventures". While technically they are moms and they write for other moms I feel like they're breaking the typical "mommy blog" mould and are delivering stories, tips and adventures that appeal to folks who want to go beyond the obvious in our city with their kids. This past weekend Toyota BC loaned Carina a 2014 Highlander Hybrid (much like the one that I lease) and we were supposed to meet up and adventure together, our two families in matching vehicles, but our schedules didn't quite align.
