What’s your mark on New West/what do you consider to be your greatest mark on New West?

When I first moved to the Lower Mainland I lived in the 10th Aveand 6th sT area, so New West was my stomping ground for my first year at UBC.

Lisa Spitale, to hear about the plans and objectives the City has to move New West forward in the coming years.

What’s your favorite thing to do on a sunny Sunday afternoon?

Ride my bike

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what couldn’t you live without?

The constant chatter of my two year old daughter (who wouldn’t need to hear about fairytale land if you were stuck on a deserted island!)

What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

Geoduck

What is your favorite sport to play/watch?

Cycling (play) / Hockey (watch)

What is the last book your read or movie you watched?  Was it good?

Malcolm Gladwell’s What the Dog Saw; and Other Adventures. Yes, Gladwell is an engaging writer who arrives at seemingly counterintuitive conclusions that make you think

Diving the Galapagos Islands

What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?

Ride my bike

What is your favorite hobby now?

Playing with my daughter, riding my bike, working on my car (1963 Porsche 356)…..(sorry, too many hobbies and a short attention span)

If you could live in any era, which would it be?

Today. I am a bit of a tech junkie. I can’t imagine going back to using a DOS, rotary phones, punch cards, a teletype!
