If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap". In other words, this is a weekly series on things to do and places to go in Vancouver that fall into that magical category of being both cheap and awesome.

The week is over and you're ready to cut loose! But... the week is over and you spent all your money on other things. Here are your cheap deals for Friday nights. Most of these are the usual drink and food specials, but I wanted to start things off with something totally different. Yep, we're going to the gun range.

DVC Gun Range: Ladies Night! Ladies get free admission Fridays (still have to pay for ammo)

Denman Taphouse: $12.50 jugs of Sleemans

Elwoods: $3.52 martinis, $4 craft beer, buck-a-shuck oysters

Kibo Izakaya: $13 pitchers of Sapporo, lager, and pale ale

Locker Room Pub: $5.25 Rickards, $10 for 3 shooters, $10 burgers (every day!)

Romer's Burger Bar: $5 raspberry mojitos

The Winking Judge: $5 1516 pints

The Pint - 1lb of wings for every pint of beer (as the reader who emailed about this pointed out, that means if you get three pints ($15) you are only paying $1 for every 198 calories! Just don't think about how many calories you're consuming).
