Local apparel distributor Branches & Knots opened a Christmas pop-up earlier this month bringing together several Japanese apparel and footwear labels, plus a few local and international small gift items - rare brands not found in malls that stand out and make great gifts.

Shop owner Naomi Anju is the founder of Branches & Knots and has brought quality wears including rain boots from Wild Bird Society of Japan and Rubb, footwear from Regetta Canoe and Mizutori, JHA watches, and French accessories line Pylones. They've even brought a few apothecary goods from Vancouver Island based Jody's Naturals which make perfect stocking stuffers.

If you're not from Kits, it can be easy to forget to visit the neighbourhood once the summer beach weather is over, but a stop over at the Branches & Knots pop-up should be on your list, no matter where you live in the city. Luckily, it's on the Broadway corridor at 3128 W. Broadway just west of Balaclava St. and tucked between Nuba and Mamalee - two of our favourite eateries in the neighbourhood.

The pop-up is open 11-7PM daily and to 5PM on Sunday until December 28. They're even giving 10% off, find out how to get yours here.
