We suggested you follow Vancouver Alleys, Gatekeepers and Garages and Palm Trees of Vancouver and are again excited to bring you a suggestion of an Instagram account to follow for hyper-local goodness: Vancouver Kingsway.

Freelance journalist Rachel Sanders heads it up, offering an honest look at the storefronts and other sights you’ll see while walking this street that time sometimes seems to have forgotten.

Fun fact: Kingsway was built by the Royal Engineers in 1860 to facilitate the fastest possible movement of troops between Gastown and New Westminster, the then-capital of the colony of BC. That’s why it cuts through at the angle that it does, with blatant disregard for the grid system!
