In case you haven't gotten your fill of nerd-inspired events in Vancouver, here's another one for the young adult sci-fi/fantasy lovers out there: Harry Potter Trivia. At a mere $5 to get in, plus prizes (including costume prizes!) it's pretty much a gimme. I was going to try to come up with some magic-related puns to describe it, but why would I bother when the organizers came up with the best explanation of all time? Here it is:
Join us for a magical evening where you can test your HP knowledge against other aspiring wizards at Sunset Grill in Kitsilano. Teams of up to six players will compete for the grand prize as well as bragging rights as Vancouver's ultimate Potterheads. There will also be prizes for the winners of each round as well as a door prize and a costume contest. Brush up on your knowledge of the best book series of all time, knock those Wrackspurts out from between your ears, and see if you're up to snuff at 7:30pm on April 8th!
