Now in its 6th year, Vancouver Draw Down is a one-day, city-wide drawing festival that celebrates creativity and challenges commonplace ideas about what drawing is and what it can do. On Saturday, June 20, reconnect with the power and pleasure of making your mark at over 35 FREE drawing workshops across Vancouver.
The workshops are developed and led by local professional artists, and designed for people of all ages and skill levels! Workshops will be held at almost 40 locations including 23 community centres, Vancouver Art Gallery, Granville Island, Gam Gallery, among many. They’re free and no registration is required—so get to as many as possible throughout the day! Full workshop details available at the Vancouver Draw Down website.
And everyday for a week—starting tomorrow—take part in the Online Daily Drawing Challenge! The Online Daily Drawing Challenge is precisely that—a challenge for you to draw every day. The seven-day challenge is designed to get your imagination and ink flowing in preparation of the 2015 Vancouver Draw Down workshops on June 20th.
We’ll announce the daily drawing instructions each day. Take no more than five minutes, don’t use an eraser or ruler, and let your imagination take over!
