3 Great Local Neighbourhoods for Shopping in Kelowna

Convenient. Friendly. Value-conscious. Unique. That about sums up Kelowna’s retail scene.

Kelowna’s downtown is a mecca of small retail shops and boutiques. Compressed into just a few blocks, it’s an easy stroll from store to store. Surprisingly, each stop is a unique encounter—a pleasant intriguing discovery that invites at the very least a quick visit just to check it out.

Downtown Kelowna

Kelowna’s downtown shopping is built around Bernard Avenue. Recently renovated and given a chic urban look that invites a relaxed walk, Bernard alone is home to more than 70 one-of-a-kind boutiques. You’ll find everything here from home décor and gifts to accessories and swimwear.

Looking for some trinkets to dress up your new apartment? Stop by Country Cottage Gifts and Décor or Lakehouse. They both offer up cute and cozy additions to any space. More of a fashion aficionado? Then Blonde is for you. This gem is a great spot to find a new outfit—they’ve got accessories to match too. If you’re getting ready for an upcoming wedding, Ten Fashions Bridal Boutique has got you covered with options for the bride and all her pals. Funktional offers unique treasures and gift ideas you won’t find elsewhere.

Downtown Kelowna makes it easy to celebrate small business in the community. Plus lot parking is free on the weekends too, which is a bonus if you’re travelling in from a vineyard or accommodation further afield.

Outside of the downtown core, the Pandosy community has developed its own unique culture, delivering even more trendy shops and boutiques on both Pandosy and Tutt streets. It’s just a five-minute drive from downtown Kelowna, making it an easy addition to any shopping trip.

A must-visit in Pandosy is FROCK Clothing Co. A twist on a regular boutique, FROCK offers one-of-a-kind, curated consignment finds. Cranberry Junction, on the other hand, is a perfect mix of feminine and shabby chic. Looking for a piece of furniture—they’ve got you covered. A tank top? They’ve got that too! If you’re looking for something a bit more spontaneous, Serendipity and The Wardrobe Boutique are great stops for any type of clothing or accessories you might be looking for. It doesn’t hurt that both of the stores are absolutely adorable inside too.

Orchard Park Mall

Perhaps mall shopping is more your style. The Orchard Park Mall, centrally located on Harvey between Cooper and Dilworth, has more than 170 stores, including major retailers such as Hudson’s Bay, Sears, Old Navy, Sport Chek, Guess?, BCBG Max Azria, Gap, Chapters and Best Buy. Just a little further northwest on Harvey, a conglomeration of “big box” retailers provide convenient access to department store, home renovation and décor and clothing needs.

You’ll find each district sprinkled with street-side cafes and bistros, providing ample opportunity to get off your feet, grab a little sustenance and plot the next leg of a shopping adventure.
