Supermoon lunar eclipses aren't exactly a "once in a lifetime" thing... but they're pretty close. The last one was in 1982, one happened tonight, and another won't come around until 2033. You can be certain that a great number of Vancouverites were looking up at the sky with their cameras in hand (some with telescopes rigged with iPhones), so in case you didn't manage to catch a glimpse here's a collection of some of the stunners of it that got shared on Instagram.
