Launched in 2012, A Good Book Drive is an annual book drive that brings stories to a new generation of readers, and supports kids in need of new books.

Running through the month of November, it inspires Vancouverites (and this year New Yorkers as well!) to purchase a new copy of their favourite kids’ book and deliver it to locations throughout the city to be donated to this year’s book drive recipients. ONE to ONE is this year's recipient, and what they do is provide one-to-one tutoring to children in elementary schools during regular school hours. You can learn more about them HERE.

Along with their drive every year AGBD posts features on their blog of notable Vancouverites and the books they're donating, and why. We've selected 5 of our picks below, go HERE to hear more stories and to learn more about the project!

Karen Khunkhun, co-host of the Jeff O’Neill Show and author of the “Letters to Younger Me” column for the Vancouver Sun donated Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
