If you're like me, you view Le Marché St. George a revered Vancouver institution. An anchor on the corner of 28th and St George that serves not only the immediate community around it but the city as a whole. It also serves as a bit of a tourist destination as any good guide to our city has featured this "hidden gem", and here are some examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Don't trust the New York Times? How about Melissa Cartwright from Melliferra Bees who keeps beehives there? Our community needs this place. Ask anyone - well, almost anyone - and they'll tell you this business/community hub is important to Vancouver.
