The VPD just launched a new online tool they're calling GeoDash. In their words, it's "a system that is intended to enhance community awareness of reported crime in Vancouver. Based on incidents reported to police, it provides current crime data allowing you to know about trends happening in your neighborhoods [sic]". Essentially it's a way to check out the crimes that have been reported around where you live. The crimes tracked include:

BNE Commercial

BNE Residential/Other

Homicide

Mishcief

Offence Against a Person

Other Theft

Theft from Vehicle

Theft of Vehicle

You can search by address or neighbourhood and select a date range of the past week to the past month. Below is a visualization of all of the reported crimes from the past two weeks within a 1000m radius of our office at 196 West 3rd Avenue.
