Take a moment to meditate on Robson Street

As Christmas shopping intensifies and the streets and malls become more crowded and even unbearable, Social Yoga is offering Vancouverites an opportunity to chill out. In partnership with Tin Can Studio, Vancouver’s first nomadic yoga studio will host a pop up meditation space outside the Vancouver Art Gallery on Saturday, December 12th. The mobile studio will be parked all day to provide Robson street shoppers a chance to get away from the frantic pace of the holiday season for a mindful moment.

The studio is also making it easy for anyone to join in. There will be easy-to-follow audio-guided meditations on hand, and there's no need to sign up in advance or meditation experience required.

"The holidays are a busy time for everyone and we often forget to take some time for ourselves. The intention of this pop up studio is to give people a minute, or five, of sacred silence and “me-time”, ” says Anita Cheung, founder of Social Yoga.

So while you're busy being generous buying presents for everyone else tomorrow, take a moment for some "me time", even if it's just for a minute.
