I know, I know... I keep sharing photos of stumps and logs in the middle of downtown Vancouver in our ongoing stream of archival photo posts.

I know, I know... I keep sharing photos of stumps and logs in the middle of downtown Vancouver in our ongoing stream of archival photo posts. I simply cannot get over the fact that there were trees the height of some of the towers that are now rooted in place, and I want to continue to remind you of that history. Also loved getting their photos shot with fallen trees in the 1800's, almost as a form of entertainment, so there's no lack of these in the City of Vancouver Archives. Ha!

This one was located on Georgia Street, and the photo was shot in 1886. Insane.
