Paul Anthony's Talent Time Premiers World Wide This Thursday

He’s always up to something…Paul Anthony, host and creator of the innovative cult-like talk show flips his “regular format” on its head.

He’s always up to something…Paul Anthony, host and creator of the innovative cult-like talk show flips his “regular format” on its head. Inspired by vintage public access shows that allowed callers to become part of the live happening, Paul and his special guest co-host, comedian Graham Clark from Stop Podcasting Yourself, open up the phone lines to answer your calls. Vancouverites are encouraged to join the show live at the Rio Theatre where they can call in from their seats. However, in order to maximize the diversity of callers, for the first time in their 8 year history, Talent Time will be streaming the show, as it happens, on their youtube channel. Live-streaming on youtube? I had no idea. For one show only, you don’t have to be at the corner of Commercial and Broadway with $12 in your pocket to taste the Talent Time experience!

Thursday’s show also includes 2 youth bands from the Deep Cove Music School. Stormbreaker and Wonderboltz, ages 8-13, will perform an original rock song each. Returning to the program is African acrobat, Mr.Fantastik, who was recently a competitor on Canada’s Got Talent, plus, solo sketch comedy by Blind Tiger student Maarten Bayliss. In the second half of the show, after the kids have left the building, Paul and Graham will be joined by the recipient of the Vancouver Coastal Health Nursing Excellence Award, Huffington Post blogger and host of the Sunday Night Sex Show on CKNW, Maureen McGrath. It’s not all jokes; as there will be a professional on hand to guide you with advice on sex and relationships. There’s also a house band featuring musicians Toga D’Hore , Amine Bouzaher, and David Rezmer.

If you are one of those who find it impossible to get out on a weekday, you have no excuse, as, chances are, you have the internet in your pocket.
