The folks at Vancouver's Visual Capitalist have released a doozy of an infographic today concerning vancouver real estate. Their goal with it is to "sum up the real estate mania in Vancouver including: the city’s history with real estate, the impact of Expo 86 on housing prices, wealthy immigrant investor plans, and recent examples of the mania itself.", and a summation it is.
Why release such a thing? VC Creative Director Nick Routley says that "At a certain point last year, real estate became our collective civic obsession. Since we’re based in Vancouver and actually living in this super-heated market, we wanted to help people understand the full scope of what’s happening here. Developers, the City, and Vancouverites themselves will need to get creative to find solutions to affordability issues or else long-time residents will explore other options out of necessity.". Amen.
