Commodore Ballroom

Smiling for the camera, a full house of dancers and diners pack out the Commodore Cabaret, or what we now know as the Commodore Ballroom. Although it has opened and closed and changed hands many times over its eight-decade history, it has remained one of Vancouver’s premiere live music venues since it first opened in 1929. Over the years, the venue has gone on to host the likes of Nirvana, U2, The Tragically Hip and countless other local and international acts.
