Klondike Rush

With its prime location on the West Coast, the population of Vancouver doubled during the Klondike gold rush as would-be miners streamed through. In this photograph, boys and men gather to admire a dogsled and snowshoes from the Vancouver Hardware Co. — and the mismatched team of dogs.
