The Olympic Village area may be known for its seaside views and proximity to great food, but come September it will be recognized as one of the city’s premiere destinations for unique, high-quality, locally made goods. Shoppers rejoice! Portobello West Artisan Market is back September 17th and 18th.

 The Good Oak.

Whether you’re buying gifts or treating yourself (you deserve it), Portobello West offers up a whole new shopping experience that will convince the most jaded shoppers to reconsider their life choices. With fresh eats from food trucks, incredible live bands and over 50+ local vendors, this will be far cry from the dismal shopping-mall experiences that turned you into an online shopper years ago.

 Elena Markelova Arts.

For the last 10 years, Portobello West has been offering up the best in locally made fashion, jewelry, art, skincare, food, children’s accessories and creative home décor, earning them the reputation of Vancouver’s premiere shop and support local market.

 Gillespie’s Fine Spirits Ltd.

One of our favourite parts about Portobello West is that you can actually meet the people behind the market’s gorgeous collection of locally made goods. If you’re sick of assembly line trends, and unethical production methods than come buy directly from the dreamers and makers who are bringing their products to life.

 Nepheliad.

This year, admission is only $2 and kids under 12 are welcomed at no charge. The first 50 attendees each day will also be entered to win a gift basket featuring products from the market’s unique array of talented artisans valued at over $200.

Spend the day at Portobello West and see what shopping local is all about!

Portobello West celebrates its 10-year anniversary from 11:00am to 5:00pm on September 17th and 18th at the Creekside Community Centre in Olympic Village. For 10 years Portobello West has helped facilitate BC artisans in developing a successful & sustainable business by providing educational tools to prepare them for the marketplace. With 7 annual markets throughout the year, including pop-up venues at the BC Home + Garden Show and Vancouver Home + Design Show they have truly made a mark on the shop local community.
