TransLink - VIAMetro Vancouver’s SkyTrain network is about to become the longest, driverless, automated, rapid-transit system in the world! The Evergreen Extension of the Millennium Line will bring commuters all the way out to Coquitlam and Port Moody by the end of this year!

To get ready for the Evergreen Extension, some big changes are coming to SkyTrain that might affect your usual commute. Staring October 22nd, the following changes will be made to existing SkyTrain routes. Here’s what you need to know:

  • The Expo Line will now have two routes. One route will continue to travel between Waterfront and King George stations, just like today
  • A second Expo Line route will run between Waterfront and Production Way–University stations.
  • The two Expo routes will travel along the same line from Waterfront Station until they fork at Columbia Station—you can transfer between the two routes at any station in between.

The Millennium Line will run between VCC–Clark and Lougheed Town Centre stations, continuing on to the Evergreen Extension when it opens.
