Shark Attack
Newspaper readers woke up January 8, 1925, to the exciting news that a Vancouver city worker, repairing the underwater Seymour mains, had been attacked by a 7-foot shark. After a 15-minute fight, the city worker won, using an iron bar. The shark was hoisted ashore and destroyed.
